Herpes pharyngitis heals in a few days

Herpes pharyngitis is a self-limiting disease that can generally heal in 7-10 days, but the specific healing time depends on the severity of the disease, the patient’s physical condition and other factors. If the disease is severe and complicated by other diseases, it is recommended to seek prompt medical attention from the ENT department for targeted treatment. Herpes pharyngitis is highly contagious and mainly affects children, with a higher incidence in the summer and fall. It is mainly transmitted through the respiratory tract and may cause upper respiratory tract infections. The most common form of the disease is coxsackievirus infection, which has an acute onset and is characterized by fever and painful papules, sometimes with vesicles or ulcerative oral mucosal rash, and may be followed by other pharyngeal infections such as tonsillitis and tracheobronchitis. Patients are advised to take active antiviral and symptomatic treatment. Oral antipyretic and antipyretic drugs are given to patients with mild cases, while severe cases require infusion therapy. Herpes pharyngitis is a benign lesion that usually lasts for a short time and usually results in a complete recovery in 7-10 days. Patients with herpes pharyngitis need to pay attention to their diet by drinking millet porridge, noodles, soups and other easily digestible foods, encouraging more plain water and appropriate physical activity to increase the body’s resistance.
