What causes vaginal discharge?

Watery vagina clinically usually refers to watery leukorrhea. Watery leukorrhea may be caused by vaginitis, cervical cancer, endometrial cancer and other diseases.
1. Vaginitis:
(1) Trichomonas vaginitis: patients may have vulvar itching, increased vaginal discharge and other phenomena, and its discharge is mostly thin purulent, yellowish white or yellowish green, foamy and accompanied by foul smell, which causes patients to consciously feel that their vaginas are watery.
(2) Bacterial vaginosis: the secretion of patients is grayish-white, thin, with fishy odor, and the symptom is aggravated after sexual intercourse, which can be accompanied by vulvar itching or burning sensation, resulting in patients’ self-consciousness of vaginal discharge.
2. Cervical cancer: Early stage patients often have no obvious symptoms, but occasionally have increased vaginal discharge, which may be white or bloody, watery or rice slop, and intermittent and painless vaginal bleeding. In advanced stage, due to the necrosis of cancerous tissues and infection, a large amount of slop-like or purulent smelly leucorrhoea may appear, which may be accompanied by edema of lower limbs, urinary frequency, urgency and emaciation and other phenomena.
3. Endometrial cancer: Early stage patients may be asymptomatic, while symptomatic patients may have increased vaginal secretion, irregular vaginal bleeding, and the secretion may be watery, rice soup-like or bloody, accompanied by bad smell. In late stage, patients may mainly suffer from irregular vaginal bleeding, and then invade the surrounding organs or metastasize, which may lead to the appearance of corresponding symptoms.
In addition, there are other reasons that can cause vaginal bleeding, it is recommended to go to the hospital in a timely manner, to clarify the cause of the disease, and then receive treatment as soon as possible.
