Can calcium prevent dislocation of the elbow joint?

Calcium supplementation helps to promote bone growth, metabolism and prevent osteoporosis, but elbow dislocation is mainly associated with trauma to the elbow, with genetics, ageing of the joint and inappropriate exercise patterns being common contributing factors, and there is not enough research to show that calcium supplementation can prevent elbow dislocation. However, measures such as avoiding sports that pull violently on the limb, avoiding violent pulling on the child’s arm, avoiding landing on the elbow when falling and protecting the elbow during sports can help prevent elbow dislocation.
