Concerned about the signs of back pain in lung cancer

Outpatients often come to the clinic with back pain, including chest and back pain, low back pain, etc. As a result, lung cancer is already at an advanced stage, which is a pity! It should be understood that the development of lung cancer is multifactorial, multi-stage and multi-step over a long period of time, therefore, most lung cancers develop and infiltrate in silence, which is why more than 80% of lung cancers are diagnosed at advanced stage and less than 20% are at early stage. Certain symptoms or discomforts may be signs of lung cancer, such as irritating dry cough for more than 2 weeks, unexplained blood in sputum, blood spots, etc. In addition to smoking and age over 40, these signs should be taken seriously and should be examined in a timely manner to differentiate and rule out. Back pain is also often a sign of lung cancer, and once it occurs, relevant examinations should be done as soon as possible to clarify the cause. Unfortunately, in real life, many people, including medical professionals, do not take it seriously. They often treat it as spinal hyperplasia, disc prolapse or lumbar strain, and go to Chinese medicine department for massage and acupuncture for a long time, or go to orthopedics department for consultation; elderly people may treat it as osteoporosis for a long time, and go to respiratory department for consultation when they have cough and fever, and are diagnosed as lung cancer by “accident”. In some cases, they were hospitalized in orthopedics or brain surgery for the above mentioned discomfort and were diagnosed with lung cancer due to lung abnormalities found in the routine chest X-ray before surgery. In some cases, the diagnosis of lung cancer was confirmed by pathological findings of metastatic lung cancer after surgery in brain surgery or orthopedic surgery. At this moment, the disease has been in progress for a long time, so perhaps if the diagnosis was confirmed when the back pain was first manifested, the treatment effect might be very different. Therefore, we emphasize here that back pain is a common condition, but it can also be a sign of lung cancer, so don’t take the bean bag as a dry food, once it appears, it should be examined as early as possible to clarify the cause and treated as early as possible, so that both the symptoms and the root cause can be treated.
