How to recognize the treatment of stroke

It is one of the three most dangerous diseases in the world today, with the characteristics of high morbidity, high mortality, high disability, high recurrence rate and many complications. In recent years, due to the improvement of medical treatment, the mortality rate of stroke has been reduced, but the disability rate is still high, and about 80% of survivors still have different degrees of functional impairment, i.e. stroke sequelae, which brings a heavy burden to patients’ families and society. Therefore, reducing the disability rate and increasing the speed of recovery are the most important tasks in the treatment of this disease. In modern medicine, stroke sequelae include cerebral hemorrhage, cerebral thrombosis, cerebral embolism, cerebral vascular spasm and subarachnoid hemorrhage, which mainly manifest as paralysis of limbs, aphasia, distortion of the mouth and eyes, difficulty in swallowing, slow thinking, difficulty in association, memory loss, irritability and depression. Who are the people who are prone to get stroke? People with hypertension, heart disease, diabetes, smoking, alcoholism, dyslipidemia, obesity, asymptomatic carotid stenosis, parents with a history of similar disease, etc. As seen clinically, most of the stroke patients will have some premonitory signs before the onset of stroke, such as: (1) vertigo, palpitations. (2) Inexplicable stiffness of the tongue and poor speech. (3) Localized numbness of the fingertips or limbs, or inability to move, such as suddenly dropping something from the hand to the ground. If you have one or more of the above nine “easy to get” factors, and the above symptoms appear, then you must be highly alert, and should take preventive measures in a timely manner, when the proper treatment can still avoid the occurrence of stroke. Acupuncture plays a very important role in the treatment of stroke patients. There are many misconceptions about the treatment of stroke. For example, when people have a stroke, it is customary for them to be treated by Western medicine for a period of time, after infusion, medication, and injection, and only when they become partially paralyzed do they come to see a Chinese doctor and seek treatment with Chinese herbal medicine and acupuncture. According to this way of thinking, for many years, acupuncture has been limited to the post-stroke limb rehabilitation phase of treatment, failing to play a role in the acute phase of stroke, resulting in unsatisfactory treatment and very mediocre clinical results. Many patients with hemiplegia have lost the best time for treatment, resulting in lifelong disability, a very painful lesson. Shi Xuemin academician believes that in the acute phase of stroke attack, if acupuncture therapy can be used, it is very beneficial and necessary for patients. It can be said that the sooner a stroke patient receives acupuncture treatment, the sooner he or she will benefit. Of course, this period should also be supplemented with medication, which is self-explanatory. The effectiveness of acupuncture and medication will be more significant when they work in tandem. Academician Shi believes that acupuncture therapy includes several types: (1) milli-needle treatment. It is now the most common common stainless steel acupuncture therapy, which has the advantages of safety, reliability, convenience and low cost. (2) Moxibustion treatment. That is, the use of burning moxa smoked certain points, it is mostly used in conjunction with acupuncture therapy. (3) cupping treatment. This is an ancient treatment method passed down in folklore, but now also used in clinical practice, its role is to activate the blood, dredge the meridians. (4) Brain-awakening acupuncture method. This is a kind of milli-needle, which is a unique acupuncture method. The method of “awakening the brain and opening the orifices” is a treatment method and acupuncture method proposed to address the basic pathological mechanism of stroke disease, which is stasis of blood, liver wind, phlegm and other pathological factors obscuring the brain orifices, resulting in “the orifices are closed and the gods are hidden, and the gods do not guide the qi”. In the selection of acupuncture points, the main focus is on the Yin meridian and the Governor’s meridian, and it emphasizes the quantitative standard of acupuncture technique, which is different from the traditional method of acupuncture and needling. It not only has a special formula of acupuncture points, but also has a very strict standard operating method and the quantitative requirements of the technique, the treatment effect is significantly better than other acupuncture methods. From a large number of clinical practice: Shih’s treatment of stroke unit therapy has achieved better results in both international and domestic. Many stroke patients have a pessimistic and disappointing attitude towards their condition and cannot accept that they have become paralyzed all of a sudden, especially those with aphasia. The “emotional stroke” also follows, or irritability, or depression, which is quite detrimental to the condition. In fact, if the stroke is treated properly and timely, the hip, knee, ankle, shoulder, elbow and wrist can restore the motor function of each major joint. In addition, most people can take care of themselves again if they can seriously cooperate with functional exercises. In addition, most people can take care of themselves again if they can cooperate with functional exercises. In fact, since the cause of stroke has been identified, the rules of prevention will naturally arise. To deal with this disease, the ancient and modern ways of health care into one point, that is: control the seven emotions, six desires to plug the source of the disease; careful living, appropriate work and rest to nourish the five organs. These two phrases are the basic principles of stroke prevention. Specifically, to prevent from the following aspects: 1, in daily life should avoid emotional over-excitement, especially not too happy, too angry, too worried, too worried. It is not uncommon to see people having strokes as a result of such emotional overstimulation in clinical practice. All kinds of psychological imbalance is an inherent factor of stroke. 2, the diet structure should be reasonable, meat and vegetables, and promote omnivorous food. The International Health Organization’s idea of “reasonable diet” is very meaningful for stroke prevention. 3, overwork and excessive comfort are harmful, so should avoid these two aspects of the situation. 4.The damage of tobacco and alcohol to the heart and brain is especially huge, and they are often the direct cause of stroke, which is very common in clinical practice. Therefore, it is very important for the elderly to quit smoking and drinking. 5.There is a close relationship between human beings and nature in Chinese medicine, which emphasizes the “unity of heaven and man”. The elderly should pay attention to keeping warm and cold according to the change of seasons, and increase and decrease clothes at the right time to prevent from getting cold. 6. It is also necessary to stay alert to stroke, knowing that generally stroke has aura. Once you find dizziness, numbness and weakness of the hands and feet, slurred speech and other aura symptoms of stroke, you should immediately go to the hospital for medical attention.
