How long can you live with advanced small cell carcinoma of the lung?

Current clinical data show that the survival time of patients with advanced small cell carcinoma of the lung is around 6 months to 1 year. However, the survival time of different patients may vary greatly due to factors such as individual physical quality and treatment methods. Small cell carcinoma of the lung is a kind of malignant tumor, and most of the patients in the advanced stage cannot avoid metastasis of the cancer in spite of active treatment, so the survival time of most of the patients in the advanced stage of small cell carcinoma of the lung is not more than 1 year, and with the rapid progression of the cancer, the survival time of the patients may be significantly shortened. Although there is no good way to cure small cell lung cancer at this stage, the progress of the cancer can be slowed down to a certain extent by existing comprehensive treatments such as radiotherapy, immunotherapy and targeted therapy.
