Causes of left upper eyelid swelling

Swelling of the left corner of the patient’s eye may be caused by blepharitis, blepharospasmal cysts, mosquito bites and other reasons.
1. Blepharitis: Blepharitis refers to purulent inflammation of the eyelid glands. Under the stimulation of inflammation, the patient may experience discomfort such as eyelid congestion and swelling, pain, and may be accompanied by increased ocular secretion and other discomforts.
2. Blepharophalangeal cysts: Blepharophalangeal cysts can be caused by the accumulation of secretions in the glands due to the exuberant secretion of the blepharophalangeal glands, so that patients may experience swelling of the eyelids.
3. Mosquito bites: If a mosquito bites the patient’s left eyelid, the saliva released by the mosquito can cause inflammation of the eyelid, resulting in redness and swelling of the eyelid, which can be accompanied by itchy eyes and other symptoms.
It is recommended that patients with significant eyelid swelling should seek medical attention in a timely manner to assess their condition and standardize treatment under the guidance of a doctor.
