Can you donate blood for hepatitis B?

Hepatitis B does not allow you to donate blood because blood transmission is one of the ways in which the hepatitis B virus is spread. It is recommended not to donate blood if you are already infected with a blood-borne disease such as Hepatitis B virus, Hepatitis C virus, or HIV. Even if the disease is now in the window period and may not be detected by screening, the blood will adversely affect the person who uses it, so it is recommended that patients with Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, or HIV do not participate in blood donation. The conditions for non-remunerated blood donation include age 18 to 55 years old, men weighing more than fifty less grams, women weighing more than forty-five kilograms, and people with normal blood pressure and pulse can participate in blood donation. It is recommended that patients with hepatitis B should not donate blood, patients with antigen-positive surfaces and infectious blood should not be used under normal circumstances, and patients with hepatitis B should go to the hospital for regular checkups.
