Thank you very much for choosing the Department of Pediatric Orthopaedics of Concord Orthopaedic Hospital, Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology for your child’s specialized treatment of the disease. In order to facilitate your admission arrangements as soon as possible, please read the following notes carefully, which will provide great convenience for you to shorten the waiting time for hospitalization! 1. Pediatric Orthopaedics Department of Concord Orthopaedic Hospital is the only pediatric orthopaedic specialty set up in the large-scale tertiary general hospitals affiliated to the Ministry of Hubei Province and Central and Southern China, which owns 22 fixed beds, with an annual average of more than 1,500 surgeries, and an average of more than 120 surgeries per month, and is the flagship of Pediatric Orthopaedics Department in Central China. It is the flagship of pediatric orthopedics in central China. Although a large number of parents from Xinjiang, Hainan, Guizhou and other places come to the hospital, due to the limited number of beds, all the children need to wait for admission by applying for an admission card to get a hospitalization number and registering in the queue, except for children with serious compound trauma such as car accidents and falls, etc., who are able to be admitted to the hospital in 1-3 days through the Green Channel Emergency Clinic. Tang Xin, Department of Orthopedics, Wuhan Union Medical College Hospital, Wuhan, China 2. In order to make it easier for doctors to understand your child’s specific condition and arrange for your child’s admission to the hospital, the hospitalization card with a hospitalization number that you apply for on the first floor of the outpatient clinic needs to be uniformly placed in the ward for safekeeping. If you don’t have a hospitalization number, you will not be able to enter the computer sorting, which will delay your child’s admission. 3. After getting a hospitalization number, please write down your child’s name, age, disease name and phone number neatly and check them when you register. You can register 1-3 valid phone numbers and keep your phone off the hook or in arrears so that we can notify you at any time. In the past, there are many careless parents, because of the registration of the wrong number, as well as cell phone contact information is invalid or did not answer, resulting in missed telephone admission notification. 4, if for any reason you miss the phone call to arrange a bed, please call back in time to confirm and explain to us, we will be the next round of the most recent round of arrangements for beds again notified to you, generally one week as a cycle of arrangements. 5, Pediatric orthopedic bed waiting time has the following characteristics. During the summer vacation July-August and winter vacation January-February each year, the waiting cycle is 3-4 weeks due to the large number of school-age children concentrated in surgery, while at other times it is 1-2 weeks. We recommend that unless your child is of school age and only has the option of winter or summer vacation time, try to make an appointment at a time that is not a vacation, thus shortening your wait time. Please remember: no one can promise you a specific day of admission unless they receive an official phone call! 6. When making an appointment, please fill in the registration booklet with details of the interval in which you wish to undergo surgery, e.g. between XXX, 20XX – XXX, 20XX is convenient! If there are more than one person to book the same time period, then follow the registration order of priority for the arrangement of notification. Therefore, it is difficult to accommodate all appointments during the summer and winter vacations due to the number of appointments, so we recommend that you avoid the peak! We accept hospitalization appointments up to one year in advance.7. The hospitalization deposit you pay when applying for your hospitalization card will only incur a fee once you are actually admitted. If you change your mind about hospitalization in the middle of your waiting schedule, you can cancel your registration at any time and return your deposit. Therefore, it is not possible to wait for a long time and spend all the deposit! 8. After you receive the notification of hospitalization, please first make sure that your child is not suffering from a cold, fever, tonsillitis or rhinitis, as a combination of other systemic illnesses will most likely result in your child not being able to undergo the anesthesia procedure. If you have any of the above conditions, please let us know and treat them first. We will reschedule your appointment according to your condition, usually 1-2 weeks later. If any accident occurs after accepting the arrangement and you are unable to come, please inform us 1 day in advance, otherwise, you will be put on the non-honest list and cannot continue to make the appointment arrangement! 9. If your child needs to go through referral procedures for treatment in our hospital, please consult your local medical institution. Can the treatment cost in our hospital be reimbursed? In what form will you be reimbursed? What is the rate of reimbursement? Please consult with your local rural cooperative medical office or medical reimbursement office to decide whether the expenses for treatment in our hospital can be reimbursed and in what form and at what rate, etc. Please consult with the relevant departments and go through the relevant procedures before the official admission to the hospital. 10. 1-2 family members are generally allowed to accompany the child to the hospital, and we suggest that the child be accompanied by his/her parents or immediate family members, and we try to avoid the hospitalization of the child by the old people only because the young parents have a better understanding of the communication and can help the child to get the best treatment. This is because younger parents have a better understanding of communication and can facilitate the child’s optimal treatment. A chaperone should be able to take responsibility for the child’s treatment choices, be literate, and be able to communicate in Mandarin to avoid misunderstandings caused by the dialect that may delay the child’s treatment.11. For children with clubfoot who are only being treated with casts, there is usually no need to wait for an inpatient hospital bed, and you can consult with the doctor in charge of your child’s care directly for a specific timetable.
