Small spiny moss, also known as spiny keratosis, can be ingested if you are not allergic to shrimp. Echinocornea is characterized by clusters of small follicular papules with filamentous keratinous spines, and is usually found on the neck in children, but rarely in adults. The etiology and pathogenesis of the disease are not clear, but may be related to vitamin A deficiency, or an organism’s response to infections, medications, or metabolism, and in some patients there are cases of dominant inheritance in the family. Patients with acantholytic keratosis do not affect their diet, and if they are not allergic to prawns, they can ingest them normally without any effect on their health. On the other hand, if the patient is allergic to prawns, it is not recommended to ingest them to avoid developing allergic symptoms and affecting their health. Acanthamoeba is chronic and may heal naturally, so most patients do not need special treatment, and if necessary, other methods can be used to shorten the course of the disease as prescribed by the doctor.
