Biopsy is an excellent method to obtain a preoperative diagnosis, but still has its complications. (2) post-biopsy bleeding and infection, so for more invasive biopsies, postoperative antibiotics should be used to prevent infection. (5) Pneumothorax, caused by puncture of the pleura by the puncture needle, and thoracic spine tumor puncture should be performed under CT guidance; (6) Biopsy can cause tumor spread, and this complication is often catastrophic, so biopsy should preferably be performed by the physician who eventually operates, and should have a full understanding of the nature, stage and treatment of the tumor, and carry out adequate preoperative planning.
