Pediatric appendicitis is the most common emergency among pediatric abdominal surgical disorders. Early detection and timely treatment of appendicitis is very important in pediatric patients, especially in infants, and can lead to other complications if treatment is delayed. Appendicitis is commonly known as “appendicitis”. Appendicitis is an inflammation of the appendix due to a variety of causes, resulting in abdominal pain and fever. There are two types of pediatric appendicitis, acute and chronic, and they are related to each other. The age of onset of pediatric acute appendicitis is most common between 6 and 12 years old, accounting for 90% of cases, while it is rare under 3 years old and rare in newborns. Although the incidence of acute appendicitis in infants and children is low, it is difficult to diagnose, has a high perforation rate, and has many postoperative complications, which makes early diagnosis and treatment even more important.
