Jaw joint disorders can be improved by relaxing tense muscles, increasing jaw flexibility, and opening and closing mouth training.
1. Relaxing tense muscles: Gently relax and massage the temporal muscles, biting muscles and other painful or tense positions of the muscles, to the extent of their own pain tolerance.
2. Increase the flexibility of the jaw: put your tongue on the upper jaw, put one hand on the side of the ear, find the position of the temporomandibular joint, put the index finger of the other hand on the chin, lower the jaw halfway down and then close it, and do the same exercise on the opposite side.
3. Open and close the mouth training: put the thumb under the lower jaw, slowly open the mouth, gently push the chin to fight against resistance, keep it for 3~6 seconds, and then slowly close the mouth; in addition, you can use the thumb and forefinger to squeeze the lower jaw while closing the mouth, gently press the mouth, and carry out the resistance exercise of opening and closing the mouth.
Disorders of the jaw joints should seek medical treatment in time, seek professional doctor’s treatment, do not rehabilitate on your own, so as not to cause secondary damage and aggravate the condition.
