Kidney size 93×43mm is not necessarily atrophy, it needs to be combined with the patient’s height and previous medical history. When we evaluate the kidney size, we usually use the long diameter of the kidney, the normal length is 90-120mm. from here, if the kidney size measurement is 93×43mm, it is still within the normal range mentioned above, so it is not necessarily atrophy, but it is small compared to this number. If the patient is a taller person, this size of kidney has a tendency to shrink, which needs to be combined with whether the patient has underlying kidney diseases, such as bilateral renal artery stenosis, long-term chronic nephritis and other chronic kidney diseases. If the patient is a smaller person with kidney size of 93×43mm, it should be considered normal. However, for this case, we should also dynamically review the ultrasound or CT of the kidneys, and we should also improve the urinary routine, bilateral renal vascular ultrasound and other corresponding examinations to exclude the possibility of occult underlying kidney disease.
