Breast MRI T2 is a kind of imaging modality of nuclear magnetic examination. Breast MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) T2WI high signal can be a normal imaging manifestation or a lesion imaging manifestation. 1. Normal imaging performance (1) Adipose tissue: usually shows high signal in T1WI and T2WI. (2) Fibroglandular tissue: Fibroglandular tissue, collectively known as breast parenchyma, shows higher signal on T2WI fat suppression image. The MRI performance varies according to the type of breast and can be categorized into dense and fatty breasts. Dense breast shows slightly high signal on T2WI, and the surrounding higher signal is adipose tissue; fatty breast shows high or higher signal adipose tissue on T2WI. 2. Abnormal imaging performance: the signal intensity of the lesion is different on T2WI depending on the cellular and collagen fiber composition and water content. Generally, the signal intensity of lesions with more collagen fiber content is low, and the signal intensity of lesions with more cells and water content is high. (1) Benign lesions: such as mucinous and glandular fibroadenomas with high water and cell content have high signal intensity on T2WI. (2) Malignant lesions: for example, in breast cancer, the larger the proportion of collagen-forming fibers, the lower the signal intensity, and the higher the cell and water content, the higher the signal intensity on T2WI. MRI is an important way of breast examination, and the signal intensity of each tissue is different under different weighted imaging modes, so it is recommended to be interpreted by professional physicians in regular hospitals.
