3. Periapical inflammation: Typical symptoms are toothache, swelling, etc., and in severe cases, it will be accompanied by facial swelling. For patients with obvious redness, swelling, heat and inflammation spreading, it is necessary to follow the doctor’s instructions to use ibuprofen, aspirin and other pain relievers as well as metronidazole, cefuroxime and other antibiotics. Root canal surgery can also be taken, and open pulp drainage is required in the acute stage.
