Loose and painful teeth need dental treatment, or scaling to improve the pain. The common cause of loose and painful teeth is periapical periodontitis, tooth decay without timely treatment, bacterial infection of the tooth nerve, resulting in septic necrosis of the pulp tissue and inflammation gathering in the apical area, leading to destruction of the alveolar bone and causing loose and painful teeth, and this condition requires root canal treatment of the teeth. The infected nerve needs to be removed, the infected dentin needs to be removed with a root canal file, followed by root canal disinfection and finally a tight root canal filling. After the lesion in the apical region is restored, the loosening can go away on its own. Painful loosening of the tooth may also be due to occlusal trauma of the tooth. After filling a tooth, if the filling material is too high, an occlusal trauma can develop, resulting in painful loosening of the tooth. In this case, an early adjustment is needed to remove the excess filling and create a normal bite. The painful looseness will disappear after about one month. In the case of severe painful loosening due to trauma to the tooth, the tooth needs to be fixed, which can be done with a fiber band for elastic fixation. Therefore, the painful loosening of the tooth requires root canal treatment, or a tooth adjustment and tooth fixation.
