Is 36 degrees a fever?

Body temperature of 36 ℃ is not considered a fever, which is the normal body temperature. Human body temperature is regulated by the thermoregulatory center, usually maintained in a stable range. The normal body temperature in the armpit of an adult is usually between 36 and 37℃. Human body temperature fluctuates around 1℃ during the day. Fever is when the body’s temperature exceeds the normal range due to various reasons. When the body temperature exceeds 37.3℃, it is manifested as fever, this is medically called low-grade fever. If the body temperature reaches 38.5℃, it is considered high fever. When a person has just eaten a meal or drunk a lot of hot water, has undergone intense physical training or has been under high mental stress, an increase in body temperature is usually a normal physiological phenomenon. However, most fevers are accompanied by an inflammatory response. The cause can be clarified by routine blood tests and treated under the guidance of a doctor.
