A woman’s incessant menstruation is abnormal uterine bleeding. Generally, the menstrual cycle is 2-7 days. If the bleeding is still dripping for more than 7 days or more, it is abnormal and timely examination is recommended. An ultrasound can be performed to check the condition of the uterine adnexa and the endometrium to rule out organic lesions such as submucosal fibroids or endometrial polyps that may cause abnormal uterine bleeding. If the abnormal bleeding is caused by submucosal fibroids, surgery should be performed, and in the case of endometrial polyps, hysteroscopic removal of polyps or electrodesiccation of polyps is recommended. In general, if there is no organic lesion, the abnormal uterine bleeding may be caused by endocrine disorder, and effective treatment should be given.
