Hepatitis B Major Triple Positive refers to the positivity of the first, third and fifth items of the Hepatitis B two-way test, while Hepatitis B Minor Triple Positive refers to the positivity of the first, fourth and fifth items. The most important thing in hepatitis B triple positive is hepatitis B virus E antigen, and E antigen positivity suggests that hepatitis B virus replication is active. Therefore, the level of hepatitis B virus DNA in the blood of patients with hepatitis B major triple positive is very high, while hepatitis B virus DNA in hepatitis B minor triple positive is relatively low. Hepatitis B triple positive is highly contagious due to its active replication of the hepatitis B virus. However, it does not mean that treatment is needed as soon as Hepatitis B Triple Positive is detected. Liver function, alpha-fetoprotein, ultrasound, and Hepatitis B Virus DNA need to be tested to determine if treatment is needed.
