How to Treat Damp-Heat Mouth Ulcers

Mouth ulcers belong to the category of “mouth sores” and “mouth erosion” in Chinese medicine. Damp-heat type mouth ulcers generally refers to “gastrointestinal damp-heat caused by mouth ulcers”, can choose Yin Chen, gardenia and rhubarb and other traditional Chinese medicines for treatment. Its adverse reaction and contraindication is not clear at present.
2. gardenia: has diarrhea fire removes annoyance, clears heat and relieves dampness, cools blood and removes toxin efficacy. It can be used in heat disease, damp-heat jaundice, gonorrhea (urinate more often, gonorrhea astringent pain) astringent pain, blood-heat epistaxis (due to blood-heat caused by vomiting blood, nosebleed) and so on. This product is bitter and cold to the stomach, and should not be used by people with spleen deficiency and loose stools (thin and unformed feces).
3. Rhubarb: It has the effects of diarrhea and stagnation (treating constipation by clearing stools), cooling blood and detoxifying toxins, expelling blood stasis and clearing menstruation (removing blood stasis and clearing menstruation), and inducing diuresis to relieve yellowish coloration. It is mainly used in the treatment of solid-heat stagnation and constipation, blood-heat epistaxis, redness of the eyes and swelling of the pharynx, carbuncle and furuncle. Use with caution during pregnancy, menstruation and lactation.
