High-risk type 52 positive is a cervical or vaginal human papillomavirus type 52 infection. HPV 52 positive alone with a negative TCT can be observed temporarily to strengthen the body’s resistance. Most of the infections are transient and can be cleared by themselves, which usually takes about six months to a year. If HPV52 positive, combined with positive cervical cytology, referral for colposcopy and, if necessary, cervical pathology, which is the gold standard for the diagnosis of cervical lesions, is recommended. Based on the results of the cervical pathology examination, a decision will be made whether follow-up treatment, such as cervical conization treatment, is needed. Cervical cancer is a preventable and treatable disease, and its onset is stage-specific, so it is very significant to have regular cervical cancer screening.
