Is there any risk of lung cancer puncture biopsy?

To confirm the diagnosis of lung cancer before surgery, it is mainly through percutaneous lung aspiration biopsy, which is a minor surgery with certain risks, as follows: 1) the lesion may not be punctured and need to be punctured again; 2) pneumothorax may be triggered after puncture; 3) there may be risks such as infection and bleeding at the puncture site, but the risks are generally not significant, so do not worry too much. If there are metastatic lesions in other parts of lung cancer, if there is no metastasis and the patient’s physical condition can tolerate the surgery, radical lung cancer surgery can be considered because pathological results are the key to guide the next treatment. Besides surgery, there are other treatment modalities such as radiotherapy, chemotherapy and targeted therapy for lung cancer, which is a chronic disease requiring long-term treatment.
