If a liver function report contains only transaminases that are 101u/L, everything else is normal, the liver ultrasound is fine, and the inflammatory damage is relatively mild, the problem is not significant. However, if the liver function report indicates that the bilirubin is also significantly elevated, it is jaundice. As soon as jaundice appears, it indicates that the metabolic capacity of the liver has significantly decreased. If the albumin index also appears to drop, it suggests that the synthesis ability of the liver is also affected and the liver function is more seriously damaged. Patients with early cirrhosis do not have high transaminases, so if transaminases are 101u/L, but liver ultrasound shows a reduction in liver volume and sclerotic nodules in the liver, the condition is also severe. Therefore, the severity of the disease cannot be easily judged by transaminases alone, but should be combined with other indicators of liver function and liver ultrasound reports to make a comprehensive judgment.
