Facial paralysis in young women may be caused by wind-cold, herpes virus infection and brain diseases.
1. Exposure to wind and cold: Since the facial nerve is superficial, if no attention is paid after sweating, edema of the facial neural tube caused by cold wind blowing on the face will lead to compression of the facial nerve, and paralysis of the facial muscles will occur after ischemia of the facial nerve.
2. Herpes virus infection: Herpes virus can be parasitized in the ganglion of facial nerve cells, and when the body’s resistance is lowered, it will be released and cause this kind of facial paralysis called herpes facial paralysis.
3. Brain diseases: affecting the facial nerve pathway in the brain, causing central hemiparesis. This kind of facial paralysis is mostly seen in cerebrovascular diseases, tumors, demyelinating diseases, etc., and is usually accompanied by speech disorders, limb movement disorders, numbness of limbs, and so on.
