What happens when a woman with a hypospadias leaks urine

Hypospadias leakage in women is a congenital malformation in which the urethra stops closing during development, resulting in incomplete closure of the urethra.
The human urethra is formed by the closure of the longitudinal urogenital groove during embryonic life, and if the closure stops during the process, varying degrees of hypospadias can occur. Hypospadias is a common congenital malformation of the urinary tract, more common in males and less common in females.
Urethral hypospadias can lead to abnormal opening of the urethra and corresponding symptoms. Surgery is the main treatment for hypospadias, and it is recommended that the first repair be done at an age of 6 to 18 months. Surgery can be done in one stage, or staged surgery can be considered for complicated cases.
If you notice any abnormality in the urethra when urinating, please seek medical attention.
