What medications should you not take with rivaroxaban tablets?

Rivaroxaban tablets should not be taken with medicines that raise blood levels of rivaroxaban and increase the risk of bleeding, such as voriconazole, ketoconazole and aspirin. Rivaroxaban tablets belong to a group of anticoagulant medications whose main role is to prevent venous thrombosis after hip and knee replacement. It is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to the drug, liver disease with active bleeding, coagulation abnormalities and clinically relevant bleeding risk, patients with severe renal impairment, pregnant and lactating women. Voriconazole, ketoconazole, posaconazole, itraconazole, and or HIV protease inhibitors elevate rivaroxaban blood levels; anticoagulant medications such as nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, aspirin, platelet aggregation inhibitors, or other antithrombotic medications elevate the risk of bleeding, and should not be taken in conjunction with these medications. Its adverse effects are mainly bleeding, and overdose may lead to bleeding complications. Rivaroxaban tablets should be taken under the supervision of a doctor.
