Cervical spondylosis may cause dizziness. There are many diseases or non-disease factors in daily life that may cause dizziness. There are two main possibilities for cervical spondylosis to cause dizziness, namely vertebral artery cervical spondylosis and sympathetic nerve cervical spondylosis.
The mechanisms of dizziness caused by these two types of cervical spondylosis are as follows: vertebral artery type cervical spondylosis causes insufficient blood supply to the brain when the vertebral artery is compressed. In patients with sympathetic-type cervical spondylosis, the sympathetic nerves are stimulated, and blood vessels supplying brain tissue and the inner ear, such as the vertebral artery, may spasm, thus causing dizziness. Physical therapy, medication and surgery can be used to improve the condition.
If the dizziness is serious, it is recommended to seek medical advice as soon as possible, and under the guidance of the doctor, carry out examinations to find out the cause of the disease as soon as possible and then carry out the relevant follow-up treatment.
