Does eating carbohydrates affect the urine protein test

Eating carbohydrates does not usually affect the urine protein test.
Glomerular filtration membrane can block the passage of protein, even if some of the leakage, the proximal tubule will be reabsorbed, so under normal circumstances the protein in the urine is very little. And eating carbohydrates will not affect the glomerular filtration membrane nor the reabsorption of the proximal tubule, so it generally does not affect the detection of urine protein.
However, if you exercise strenuously before the examination or are more nervous, etc., it will affect the glomerular filtration, which in turn will affect the detection of urine protein.
So before taking the specimen should be calm, do not exercise strenuously, should take the mid-range urine, to avoid specimen contamination.
If the test is positive for urine protein, it is recommended to go to a regular hospital in time to find out the cause and follow the doctor’s instructions for standardized treatment.
