Squamous carcinoma can be seen in squamous cell carcinoma and adenosquamous carcinoma, and is a common type of pathohistologic classification. The treatment of squamous carcinoma is not much different from that of general cancers, which is commonly used in surgical treatment, radiotherapy, chemotherapy and so on.
1. Surgical treatment: Surgical treatment is the main treatment mode. There are extended resection and local resection. Especially for early stage patients, the effect of surgical treatment is very remarkable.
2. Radiation therapy: It is one of the local treatment means. Radiotherapy can be carried out before operation, i.e. neoadjuvant therapy, or used as palliative therapy for symptomatic treatment. Generally, small cell carcinoma is more sensitive to radiotherapy than squamous carcinoma.
3. Chemotherapy: chemotherapy is divided into neoadjuvant chemotherapy (preoperative chemotherapy), adjuvant chemotherapy (postoperative chemotherapy) and systemic chemotherapy. Common drugs include paclitaxel, gemcitabine, docetaxel, pemetrexed and so on.
Squamous carcinoma is mostly seen in lung squamous carcinoma, cervical squamous carcinoma, esophageal squamous carcinoma, etc. It is necessary to choose the treatment plan under the guidance of the doctor and pay attention to regular review in daily life.
