Fufang Shivei Capsules is composed of four Chinese medicines: Shivei, Astragalus, Radix et Rhizoma Polygoni Multiflori and Polygonum Aviculare, in which Shivei has the efficacy of diuretic and drenching, stopping bleeding and cooling the blood; Radix Astragali is good at inducing water retention and eliminating swelling, tonifying the qi and promoting the yang; Radix Bitter Ginseng has the efficacy of clearing away heat and drying dampness and killing worms and diuresis; Polygonum Aviculare has the efficacy of clearing away heat and drying dampness.
Fufang Shiwei Capsule is used for heat drenching (burning and stinging pain when urinating, accompanied by frequent urination and urgency, and discomfort in the small abdomen) caused by dampness and heat in the lower Jiao, which is characterized by unfavorable urination, frequent urination, urgency, pain in urination, and swelling of the lower limbs; and acute glomerulonephritis, pyelonephritis, and urethritis with the above symptoms.
