Stage 3 Nephropathy usually refers to chronic kidney disease stage 3, at this time the patient’s kidney function has been decompensated, and usually cannot be fully recovered through treatment.
According to the international CKD staging, the glomerular filtration rate of stage 3 is 30~59ml/min. According to the chronic renal failure staging in China, usually the blood creatinine of patients with stage 3 can reach 186~442umol/l, which belongs to the stage of renal decompensation.
In this stage, the renal parenchyma is damaged, the kidney loses its compensatory ability, renal tubular atrophy, interstitial fibrosis, and the renal unit is progressively damaged. The general treatment includes treatment for the primary disease and symptomatic treatment. However, since the renal function has already lost compensation, it usually cannot be fully recovered, but only to relieve the symptoms and prevent the progression of the disease.
If the patient has progressed to stage 3 nephropathy, he or she should follow the doctor’s instructions to take active treatment and regular review to slow down further deterioration of the kidney disease.
