What to do if your lower eyelashes are stuck in your eyes

Lower eyelashes sticking in the eye, usually caused by inverted or disorganized eyelashes, can be treated by tweezers, destruction of the hair follicle, or surgery. Inverted eyelashes, which can be caused by diseases that lead to lid inversion, such as blepharitis, lid trauma, blepharitis, lid burns, etc., can cause the eyelashes to fall back toward the eyeball due to the formation of scarring of the eyelid or lid margins, while disorganized eyelashes can be caused by congenital malformations or ocular disorders such as blepharitis. In this case, if the number of ingrown eyelashes is small, only 1 to 2, they can be removed with eyelash plucking tweezers, or the follicles can be removed by incising the ingrown eyelashes under a microscope or destroying the follicles by electrolysis; in cases with a large number of ingrown eyelashes, or with entropion, surgical treatment is recommended. In the case of disorganized eyelashes, electrolysis can be used to treat the problem and antibiotic drops can be applied to the eyes to prevent infection. Since the hair follicles are destroyed, no new eyelashes will grow, and the symptoms can be gradually relieved. If the lower eyelashes get stuck in the eye and cause eye discomfort, you should consult a doctor and take appropriate treatment according to the condition of the eye.
