What causes low white blood cells and high aminotransferases?

Low leukocytes and high transaminases can be seen in cirrhosis combined with hypersplenism, drug side effects, hematologic disorders, autoimmune disorders, and so on.
1. In patients with cirrhosis combined with hypersplenism, liver function is impaired, aminotransferase tends to rise, and secondary to hypersplenism, there can be a decrease in white blood cells.
2. Some drugs such as chemotherapeutic drugs, anti-tuberculosis drugs, immunosuppressants, etc., may cause bone marrow suppression, impaired hepatic and renal function, which may be manifested as low white blood cells and high transaminases.
3. Hematological diseases such as aplastic anemia may have low white blood cells and elevated aminotransferases when combined with liver diseases.
4. Autoimmune diseases, such as systemic lupus erythematosus, often involve multiple systems of the body and can lead to leukopenia and transaminase elevation.
Other diseases, such as severe infections, can also cause low white blood cells and high transaminases, and require prompt medical treatment.
