What’s going on with my knees when I work out?

Knee ringing during exercise may be physiological ringing, or it may be caused by meniscus injury, osteoarthritis and other pathological factors.
1. Physiological popping: when the knee joint is active, the synovial membrane, ligament and cartilage friction, as well as sudden changes in intra-articular pressure, thus causing popping sound, physiological popping will not cause harm to the joints, no need to deal with.
2. Meniscus injury: meniscus is a soft cushion between the knee joint surfaces to buffer the force, meniscus injury, due to physical friction stimulation, pain and popping sound can occur.
3. Osteoarthritis: chronic strain, inflammation, osteophytes and other factors can lead to osteoarthritis, joint wear and tear caused by the cartilage surface is rough and uneven, exercise can be caused by the knee popping sound.
Exercise knee ringing can be caused by many reasons, if accompanied by other symptoms of discomfort, it is recommended that patients go to the hospital in a timely manner, improve the relevant examination for targeted treatment.
