How many bowel movements a day is a precursor of bowel cancer

Under normal circumstances, the number of bowel movements should not exceed 3 times a day and not less than 3 times a week, with yellow formed soft stool. In the later stage, due to the narrowing of the intestinal cavity caused by the cancer, the stool will become thin and deformed, difficult to defecate and even intestinal obstruction. However, there is no direct relationship between the number of bowel movements and colon cancer, because the symptoms of bowel cancer are mainly blood and mucus on the surface of bowel movement, and diarrhea will occur when the infection is serious. If the change of bowel habit is only a common symptom of bowel cancer, if the number of stool increases, it should be taken seriously, and many diseases such as ulcerative colorectitis and irritable bowel syndrome may also cause the increase of stool. It is best to have colonoscopy to clarify the disease so as to avoid missing the diagnosis and delaying treatment. You should make a habit of defecation, preferably once a day. Eat more fruits and vegetables, drink more water, eat more fiber-rich food, exercise properly, and keep bowel movement smooth.
