The treatment of Helicobacter pylori infection in children includes general treatment and medication. 1. General treatment: children with H. pylori infection should have a good meal sharing system when having group meals, pay attention to hand hygiene, and sterilize used dishes; they should avoid overeating in their daily life, maintain a light diet, and avoid eating coffee, strong tea, spicy and stimulating foods. 2. Medication: Usually, a quadruple therapy is adopted for the eradication of Helicobacter pylori, i.e. a proton pump inhibitor, a bismuth agent combined with two antibiotic treatments, such as amoxicillin, metronidazole combined with lansoprazole and bismuth potassium citrate. Children presenting with H. pylori infection are advised to visit a hospital and be treated under a doctor’s supervision.
