Is too much vitamin c bad for you?

Too much vitamin C can be harmful to your body.
Any food or nutritional supplement should be taken in moderation. Vitamin C is taken primarily for the prevention and treatment of vitamin C deficiency.
Vitamin C dosage: For vitamin C supplementation, adults should take 50 to 100 milligrams of vitamin C a day. For the treatment of vitamin C deficiency, 100 to 200 mg three times a day for adults and 100 to 300 mg for children. Treat for at least 2 weeks.
Long-term use of 2 to 3 grams per day may cause scurvy after discontinuation of the drug, so it is advisable to gradually reduce the amount of the drug. Long-term use of large amounts of vitamin C may cause urate, cysteine or oxalate stones. Overdose can also cause diarrhea, red and bright skin, headache, frequent urination, nausea and vomiting, stomach cramps.
So, take it in moderation and follow your doctor’s instructions. Never take more, take it for a long time, or take it over the course of treatment.
