A woman’s Hormone 6 test, if it reveals ovarian luteinizing insufficiency, can lead to a shortened menstrual cycle and requires progesterone for treatment. It is recommended to take progesterone capsules, or didrogestrel tablets, during the second half of the menstrual cycle. It is often necessary to take them for 14 consecutive days before stopping them, as it takes about 3-7 days after stopping them for menstruation to resume. For women with mild luteal insufficiency, if the menstrual cycle is 21 days or more, no special treatment can be used for the time being. If a woman has fertility requirements, she needs to continue progestin treatment during the second half of her menstrual cycle.
