The colon is located far from the navel. It is part of the large intestine and its main function is to absorb water and concentrate feces. The beginning of the colon is in the cecum, which is at the lower right side of the body. From the lower right side up to the upper right side below the liver is the ascending colon, from the upper left side to the spleen is the transverse colon, from the lower spleen to the lower left side to the iliac ridge is the descending colon, and from the lower left side of the iliac ridge to the spine is called the sigmoid colon. The entire shape of the colon looks like a square, surrounding the abdominal cavity of the body, in the middle is the small intestine area, some people will appear to sag due to the relatively long transverse colon, and even sag near the belly button, the sigmoid colon is more free, the colon will be closer to the belly button.
