The induction of labor at three and a half months can be harmful to the uterus because at three and a half months the fetus is already formed and the placenta has begun to take shape. This is the same as giving birth once and using placental abruption to deliver the fetus, which can cause more or less damage to the lining of the uterus. If there is some residue that needs to be removed, the endometrium may become even thinner, and when some invasive operations are performed, some inflammatory diseases such as cervical inflammation, endometritis, and even tubal inflammation may occur, which may cause infertility later on. This does not happen to everyone, but there is a greater chance of it happening. It is advisable to pay attention to the various examinations after the induction of labor and to take the oral medications as prescribed by the doctor to help the uterus recover quickly so as not to cause more damage to the uterus with prolonged bleeding.
