Tertiary prevention of stomach cancer

Gastric cancer is one of the most common malignant tumors with high incidence, and the mortality rate of patients with gastric cancer accounts for 23.2% of all malignant tumor deaths in China. Therefore, the prevention of gastric cancer is of great importance. Primary prevention of gastric cancer Since the etiology of gastric cancer is not completely clear, effective primary prevention (removal of etiology) measures are still lacking. From the epidemiological point of view, it should be carried out from various aspects such as eating more fresh vegetables and fruits, drinking more dairy products, correcting bad living habits and eating habits, avoiding rough food, not eating overly salty food, eating less or not eating salted food, not eating moldy food, eating less smoked, fried and baked food, and reducing the intake of carcinogens. At the same time, we should also pay attention to maintaining an optimistic and cheerful mood and combining work and rest. In addition, we should actively treat gastric diseases that can develop into gastric cancer, such as chronic atrophic gastritis and gastric ulcer. Secondary prevention of gastric cancer Secondary prevention of gastric cancer advocates “three early”, i.e. early detection, early diagnosis and early treatment. Especially for the high-risk groups of gastric cancer, such as patients with chronic atrophic gastritis, intestinal epithelial hyperplasia, gastric ulcer, gastric polyp, post-operative residual stomach, pernicious anemia and various gastric diseases caused by positive Helicobacter pylori, people with family history of gastric cancer, and patients over 40 years old with untreated gastric diseases, etc., they should be reviewed regularly for early detection and diagnosis of gastric cancer and timely treatment. Tertiary prevention of gastric cancer Tertiary prevention of gastric cancer can improve the survival rate of gastric cancer patients and promote the recovery of the disease. Patients with early and middle stage gastric cancer should actively implement radical surgery, while patients with advanced gastric cancer are suitable for comprehensive treatment methods, such as chemotherapy, radiotherapy, immunotherapy, combined Chinese and Western medicine therapy, etc. Different measures should be taken according to different stages of the disease.
