Does menopause cause lower abdominal pain?

Lower abdominal pain does not usually occur during menopause. Some people during menopause may experience hot flashes, sweating, palpitations, headaches, tinnitus, irritability, and so on. Menopause refers to the period of time from the decline of ovarian function to menopause. Due to the decline of estrogen in the body, some women may experience menstrual disorders as well as hot flashes, sweating, and other symptoms that are characteristic of reduced estrogen. Others may experience neuropsychiatric symptoms, such as poor concentration, agitation and irritability, and anxiety. However, lower abdominal pain does not usually occur during menopause. Lower abdominal pain may be caused by pelvic inflammatory disease, or gastroenteritis, intestinal peristalsis, intestinal spasms and so on. Menopausal women with lower abdominal pain, need to go to the hospital to do gynecological examination, uterine attachment ultrasound to rule out pelvic inflammatory disease.
