Cerebrovascular blockage is cerebral thrombosis, but some of them are also cerebral embolism, which is distinguished according to the etiology that causes cerebrovascular blockage. If there is cerebral atherosclerosis caused by hypertension, diabetes, obesity and hyperlipidemia, the blockage of cerebral blood vessels is called cerebral thrombosis. If the blockage is caused by atrial fibrillation, arrhythmia such as wind heart disease, atrial flutter, or acute myocardial infarction, the thrombus formed in the heart will be dislodged and block the cerebral blood vessels with the blood flow, causing cerebral embolism. Cerebrovascular blockage can be divided into cerebral thrombosis and cerebral embolism depending on the cause, but they are uniformly called ischemic stroke, also called ischemic cerebrovascular disease.
