Patients with cerebral infarction should take aspirin, which is one of the most commonly used drugs for the treatment of cerebral infarction. Aspirin can be used both for the treatment of cerebral infarction in the acute phase and for the treatment of secondary prevention of cerebral infarction. The acute treatment of patients with cerebral infarction mainly includes thrombolytic therapy given within the therapeutic time window, and those who exceed the time window of thrombolytic therapy should be given antiplatelet aggregation, commonly used drugs include aspirin, clopidogrel and anticoagulation to lower fibrin, improve cerebral metabolism, neuroprotection and butylphthalide therapy, and dilation therapy can be given when necessary. For patients with large cerebral infarction or severe cerebral infarction, if there are signs of combined neurological deficits, early rehabilitation treatment should be given. Secondary prevention treatment of cerebral infarction mainly includes oral aspirin against platelet aggregation and control of risk factors for cerebral infarction. However, some cerebral infarcts due to embolism require oral anticoagulants, then aspirin is not taken.
