Obsolete lesions cannot be eliminated and are usually the result of previous pneumonia or tuberculosis. If a patient is considered to have an old lesion, no special treatment is needed clinically, only regular review to observe any dynamic changes. If the patient presents with cough, sputum, fever, chest pain, coughing up blood and other symptoms, further relevant tests are needed to clarify the diagnosis of the disease that is responsible for the above clinical manifestations. If the patient has bacterial infection, antibiotics can be used for treatment, and if the patient has Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection, anti-tuberculosis drugs can be used for treatment. If the patient has a malignant tumor in the lung, surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, or targeted cell therapy may be considered.
