Why do doctors say different things?

Many patients will have this confusion when they visit the doctor: what to do when different doctors say different things about the same patient? This is a very common phenomenon. Take diabetes as an example: patients will meet different doctors at random visits, and they will give different plans, leaving patients at a loss. The reasons for this are: 1. Diabetes is a very complex disease, with an unclear etiology, unknown mechanisms, and a wide range of different manifestations. Even the current treatment guidelines do not have a uniform protocol. 2. Doctors have different perspectives, philosophies and opinions about the disease, and these are reflected in a specific treatment plan. So how should the patient respond? 1, to understand their own condition, as much as possible to learn some relevant knowledge, so that the ability to distinguish and choose. 2, efficacy is the best criteria to identify and choose a doctor. For diabetes, a sustained, steady drop in blood sugar and a certain degree of control and remission of complications is the best indicator to assess the efficacy of treatment. Patients should try to solve their problems as much as possible when seeking medical treatment, which requires you to be a smart patient, learn to see a doctor, learn to choose a doctor and treatment plan.
