The key to preventing dry and cracked heels in winter is to prevent hyperkeratosis and moisture loss. It is not advisable to work barefoot outdoors in winter and to keep your feet warm. After washing your feet, it is advisable to wipe them with a towel, not to rub them hard, and natural air drying is not recommended. When the indoor air is dry, a humidifier can be used to prevent moisture loss. Daily topical moisturisers, polysulphonic acid mucopolysaccharides and vitamin E milk can be used.
