What are the types and triggers of migraine

Migraine, a throbbing pain on one side of the head that occurs for about a few minutes to an hour or so and gradually gets worse until nausea and vomiting occur and the sensation improves. The headache is relieved in a quiet, dark environment or after sleep. The headache may be accompanied by neurological and mental dysfunction before or during the onset of the headache. According to research, migraineurs are more likely than usual to have localized brain damage, which can lead to stroke. The more migraines they have, the larger the damaged area of the brain will be. I. Types 1. Typical migraine Most patients have periodic attacks, and they are more common in women. Most patients may have blurred vision, flashing lights, hallucinations, blind spots, eye swelling, emotional instability, and almost all of them are afraid of light, and a one-sided headache appears after a few minutes, mostly in the front of the head, temporal area, around the orbits, temples and other parts. The headache may be confined to a certain area or may extend to the whole half of the side. When the headache is severe, there may be a feeling of pulsating blood vessels or a feeling of jumping out of the eyes. The pain usually peaks in 1~2 hours and lasts for 4~6 hours or more than 10 hours, and in severe cases, it can last for several days, and the patient suffers from painful headache. 2.General type migraine General type accounts for 80% of migraine headache, which is more common. There may be no obvious aura symptoms before the onset of migraine, and some patients have mental disorder, fatigue, yawning, loss of appetite and general discomfort before the onset of migraine. The headache is slowly aggravated, and the pain can be on one side or both sides, or the whole head, and the degree of pain is lighter than that of typical migraine. 3. Cluster migraine is characterized by the absence of aura symptoms and the time of each attack is approximately the same. The headache often starts suddenly and lasts for 30~120 minutes, and can occur several times in a day. Clinical manifestations can include swelling of the eyes, tearing, conjunctival congestion, nasal congestion, sweating, burning sensation on the painful side of the face, etc. In typical cases, thickening and bending of the scalp blood vessels can be seen. The cause of migraine is still unknown, but it may be related to the following factors: 1. Genetic factors, because about 60% of patients can ask for family history and some patients have epileptic patients in their families, so experts believe that the disease is related to genetics, but there is no consistent form of genetics. 2, endocrine factors, vascular migraine is mostly seen in adolescent women, with frequent seizures during menstruation, stopping during pregnancy and re-occurring after delivery, while gradually reducing or disappearing after menopause. 3.Dietary factors, frequent consumption of cheese, chocolate, irritating food or smoking, drinking people are prone to suffer from vascular migraine. 4, other factors, emotional tension, trauma, worry, anxiety, hunger, insomnia, poor external environment and climate change can also trigger migraine.
