Dry cracked heels are generally not associated with cancer.
Dry heel cracking is mainly related to the loss of moisture in the heel and a decrease in the affinity of the skin cells for moisture, but also includes some physical and chemical factors such as friction and alkaline agents. Diabetes is a more serious condition causing dry heel cracking, due to nerve abnormalities and peripheral vascular disease in the distal lower limbs, and is also not directly related to cancer.
